On September 16th 2009, at the Getty Gallery in London, they announced the winners of the IPG/Terry O’Neill Award.
This year, the first prize of the Terry O’Neill Award was assigned to
Salvatore Esposito, for his work on Scampia neighborhood (Naples), a
reportage on the two main pillars of the organized crime in Naples,
that is drug and micro-criminality.
The winners’ works have been published last Sunday on The Sunday Times,
while the exhibition has been at Getty Gallery until Saturday September
19th, and it’s now at the IPG (3 Old Brewery Yard, Battle, East Sussex
TN33 0AF), until October 3rd.
Some of the juries attended the prize-giving: Terry O'Neill Award,
ovvero Terry O'Neill, Robin Morgan e Lucy Bell.Il 16 settembre 2009,
presso la Getty Gallery di Londra, sono stati annunciati i vincitori

In Afghanistan Emergency has started a network of 28 first aid posts and health posts to give prompt cures to patients. Besides to the health activity, Emergency has also been involved in social commitment: since 2001 in fact Emergency has been involved in a health assistance program in the major prisons of the country as well as into a work integration program for the women living in the Panshir Valley.
"Our first son", that's how Teresa Sarti Strada used to call Afghanistan, a land where Emergency treated about 2 million people.
Francesco Cocco's reportage has been published by Io Donna few days after Teresa Sarti Strada's death.

On August the 27th, within the PD party in Modena, the exhibition
"Lavoro. Fondato sui diritti" (i.e. "Labour. Founded on rights") opened
within the. The article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
states that "everyone has the right to work".
The images shot by Gianni Berengo Gardin, Roberto Caccuri, Francesco
Cocco, Salvatore Esposito, Alessando Imbriaco/Francesco Millefiori,
Massimo Siragusa and Riccardo Venturi tell about seven different
work-related stories.
